Our Story

Hi there! My name is Tracy and I’m the maker and illustrator behind Songbird Market Co located in Niceville, Florida.

My creative journey began in 2019 as a much-needed escape from corporate burnout, but the true heart of this business was born in 2024. While navigating a high-risk pregnancy, I turned to digital illustration (special thank you to my husband for gifting me Adobe Illustrator) and reading to find calm during a period of unknowns. Happily, my son was born perfectly healthy, and those cute doodles and patterns became the foundation for the brand I officially relaunched in October 2025.

Today, I combine a lifetime love of sewing—which started in the fifth grade with handmade quilts—with my passion for reading. I design and illustrate all of our stickers and bookmarks from scratch, and I create original surface patterns for most of the custom fabric used to sew our colorful book sleeves.

As a lifelong book collector who loves thriller novels, mysteries or a fun romance plot, my goal is simple: to spread bookish joy through original art, while preserving the value of the books you read.
